Wild Ones Greater Cleveland Chapter

Welcome to Wild Ones Greater Cleveland!

Wild Ones is national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that promotes native landscapes through education, advocacy and collaborative action. Wild Ones Greater Cleveland is a volunteer-led, grassroots chapter of Wild Ones serving all of Northeast Ohio.

Our work is built on the hands and hearts of our volunteers and the generosity of community donations. We believe that the chance to learn and participate should be accessible to everyone, which is why we strive to keep our programming free and open to the public.

Creating awareness about the importance of native plants and natural landscaping is the foundation of our mission. Our volunteers bring this mission to life through unique local initiatives such as the Keystone Workshop series, Seeds for the Future, and the Northeast Ohio Habitat Corridor. The dedication of our volunteers and the support of our community are what make these programs and our mission a reality for Northeast Ohio.

Why native plants?

Dwindling biodiversity is a threat to the foundation of life on earth. In the last century alone, we’ve lost millions of acres of diverse ecosystems. Native plants help protect and restore biodiversity, improve air and water quality and provide wildlife with quality food and shelter. Our vision is native plants and natural landscapes in every community.

Wild Ones Greater Cleveland is proud to be a Wild Back Yards partner!

We’re working with Summit Metro Parks to make changes in our outdoor space to help wildlife and counteract the effects of habitat loss and fragmentation. You can help, too — and earn rewards! — by taking simple actions in your own outdoor space. For more information, visit bit.ly/wildbackyards.
