Donate to the Growing Native Plant Movement

Promoting native landscapes and biodiversity in northeastern Ohio is at the core of Wild Ones Greater Cleveland.

By donating to Wild Ones Greater Cleveland, you play a pivotal role in advancing environmental conservation, supporting community education, and promoting the use of native plants in landscaping throughout the Greater Cleveland area.

How do we support our community?

Creating Engaging, Family-Friendly Events: We organize public hikes and hands-on educational programming with the help of local experts, fostering appreciation for native plants across all age groups.

Enabling Citizen Science Initiatives: We support projects like iNaturalist Bio Blitzes, where the community can collaborate to document local flora and contribute to real-time environmental data collection.

Fostering Access to Expert Knowledge: Our events often feature specialists in native plants and ecological restoration, offering valuable education to the public at no cost.

Curating Seasonal Educational Series: We work to highlight environmental topic themed series (like the “Spring Ephemeral” hikes, or “Winter Sowing” events), to help engage the public in timely environmental events.

Expanding Community Outreach: By tabling at public celebrations like Earth Day, we strive to widen our audience, raise awareness about native landscaping, and grow our supportive network of native plant lovers.

Promoting Regional Conservation Initiatives: Launching new initiatives like our Northeast Ohio Native Habitat Corridor, which connects communities through shared native gardens, benefiting both people and pollinators.

Implementing Local Educational Opportunities: Networking with local schools to curate our Seeds for the Future program surrounding activities and educational topics of native plants and their importance in our local ecosystems.

Community Native Garden Projects: We assist in the design and installation of local community gardens, such as Impett Park in Cleveland, Ohio.
