Rotary Park Maintenance Day [Lorain]
Volunteers Needed Public Welcome Registration Required Free Event Habitat Installation/Maintenance Lots of Physical Activity
In 2023, WOGC volunteers supported the Amherst Rotary Club (and volunteers from many other organizations) in installing a native plant garden at Rotary Park, designed by Ray Stewart, owner of Webbedfoot Designs and WOGC Board Member. In all, volunteers put 600 plants in the ground in one day!
And what do great gardens need after installation? Maintenance!
At this event, WOGC will again be partnering with Webbedfoot Designs and Amherst Rotary Club, this time to help with that maintenance.
What will volunteers be doing? Weeding and Mulching! And admiring all the native plants that are now in their 2nd year in the ground.
How should volunteers prepare? Dress appropriately for gardening and for the expected weather (hats, sunscreen, etc.).
Please register - we'll ask you a question about which activities you can support, and we'll then also have your contact info in case we need to reschedule due to weather.
