Join Wild Ones Greater Cleveland and Cleveland Public Library for WOGC's Fall Book Club gathering on Saturday, November 8 at the Woodland Branch. This season we will be reading The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer, the author of Braiding Sweetgrass. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we will reflect on the book’s themes of generosity, kinship, and living in reciprocity with the earth.
After our discussion we will put these ideas into action with a hands-on tree planting workshop on the library grounds. Together we will plant a serviceberry tree, a living emblem of the book’s message, along with some other native trees that will enrich the landscape for years to come.
Come for thoughtful conversation, community connection, and the chance to leave a living legacy rooted in abundance.
There will also be a virtual option for the book club. Click on the registration link under 'get tickets' to register for either option.
