Join Wild Ones Greater Cleveland for an exciting and impactful event as we partner with Summit Metro Parks for a native tree and shrub seed collection initiative. This collaboration aims to gather seeds from specific native tree species to support the conservation and restoration efforts within our metro parks.
During this event, participants will have the opportunity to collect seeds from targeted native species. These seeds will be used to grow new trees and shrubs by Summit Metro Parks, fostering a thriving and resilient environment for future generations.
Our partnership with Summit Metro Parks highlights the shared commitment to preserving and enhancing our natural spaces. Together, we are dedicated to promoting the importance of native plants and the many benefits they bring to our local ecosystems. Your participation will make a meaningful difference in our ongoing conservation efforts.
-This is an adult only event.
-Please dress appropriately for hiking off-trail within the Metro Park, and bring water. If you would like to wear garden gloves for this event, please bring your own, all other collection materials will be provided.
-Attendees will need to sign a waiver for Summit Metro Parks at the start of the event, prior to embarking on the seed collection.
