Wild Ones Greater Cleveland is excited to participate in the planting of the Janet Cheeseman Garden native planting project.
In partnership with Paradise Natives and the Friends of Hudson Parks (FOHP), we will be assisting to refresh the Janet Cheeseman Garden with a native design by Antonio, of Paradise Natives.
The Janet Cheeseman Garden was installed originally by the Hudson Park Board to honor a woman who had been a strong parks advocate and a member of the Hudson Park Board. She was a long time gardener and member of the Hudson Garden Club (HGC). The HGC is a huge supporter of FOHP and our Hudson parks through many generous grants to FOHP for conservation initiatives, including this grant for the JC Garden.
Please park at Hudson Springs Park. There is an overflow lot off of Stow Road with access to the park. FOHP will have waiver documents to sign for volunteers. Please bring garden gloves, a shovel or trowel, and plenty of water. This event is rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. The event end time is open based on when planting is finished. If you plan to stay for the day, please bring a packed lunch.
Please meet in front of the restrooms by the parking lot!
