Lace up your boots, breathe in some fresh air, and reconnect with nature right in our own backyard.

If you are looking to escape the daily grind without leaving the city, a hike through the Rocky River Reservation is the perfect remedy. The trails wind beneath a massive canopy of impressive trees, hugging the curves of the river and leading you right alongside dramatic, towering shale cliffs. Whether you are chasing the calming sound of rushing water, hoping to spot a white-tailed deer, or just looking for a peaceful path to clear your head, this valley feels like a world away. It is the ultimate spot to lace up your boots, breathe in some fresh air, and reconnect with nature right in our own backyard.

Meeting Place: Cottonwood Picnic Area
Hiking Path: Cottonwood Loop (0.5 miles), and neighboring Bridle Trail (as long or short as we'd like to make it)
